We used a pork loin & cut the fat off put in the crock pot, & filled with Dr. Pepper. (may use more than 2 cans). YOu could also use Root beer, or another soda. we cooked for about 12-14 hours & then shredded the pork & drained the liquid & put in BBQ sauce & some seasonings & cooked on low for another 4 hours. It was great for when we were at the beach all day..
http://eclecticrecipes.com/dr-pepper-pulled-pork-sandwichesLucky as Sunshinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02303329791458313858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735179865791238240.post-7005985608766824632012-09-03T12:40:49.679-07:002012-09-03T12:40:49.679-07:00My favorite is salsa chicken. I've used bone-in and boneless, white and dark. Cook for 6-8 hours on low (the longer end of the time if chicken is frozen). Add 1 can cream of chicken soup and a dollop of sour cream. Heat thru and serve over rice.

A couple other ideas - if you like Indian food, get the simmer sauces in the ethnic aisle at the grocery. One jar of sauce, about a pound of meat cut up (either chicken or lamb) and about half a cup of water, cooked in the crock for 3-5 hours is very good and very easy.Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09098975442897816678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735179865791238240.post-85654549829758682702012-09-03T08:57:09.001-07:002012-09-03T08:57:09.001-07:00I'm gonna have to try TCIE's recipe, that ...I'm gonna have to try TCIE's recipe, that sounds delicious! :) I don't have a ton of recipes, I don't use my crock pot as much as I should. But I discovered a GREAT thing for when I do--they make crock pot liners (reynold's wrap brand I think) for easy cleanup. I NEVER use the crock pot without them anymore. So that's my tip. :)Hebrews 11:1https://www.blogger.com/profile/15235249884008648163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735179865791238240.post-19960469648399255012012-09-03T08:20:53.275-07:002012-09-03T08:20:53.275-07:00Hot wings. About ...Hot wings. Soooooo easy and so damn good.

About 12 wings, season with black pepper in crockpot.
Melt about 1/2 cup ghee (I use ghee so there's no casein, but you can use butter, just make it good quality) and about 3/4 cup Frank's hot sauce. Pour over wings, set on low about 7 hours. (If not defrosted already, give it 8 hours)

Remove and put on broil pan.
Put liquid in a pot over high heat, add 2-3 cloves of garlic, and reduce down by half.
Brush sauce over wings, broil on high 5-7 mins or until crispy.

I serve this with homemade mayo for dipping.
